FAQs
When do I need to RSVP by?
We kindly ask that you RSVP by May 1st, 2026. This helps us plan to make the day special for everyone!
What is the dress code?
Our dress code is formal and we’d love to see our guests embracing South Asian styles if you’d like! Since our ceremony is taking place in a church, we ask that outfits remain respectful and modest. Please also avoid wearing white. Ladies, the floors at the Brownstone are made of concrete, so please choose footwear that allows you to join us on the dancefloor throughout the night!
Can I bring a plus one or my children?
If your invitation specifically includes a plus-one, we’d be delighted to have them join you. We love little ones, but we’ve planned an adult-focused celebration - please see your invitation to confirm whether children are included.
I am a non-Catholic - how do I participate in the ceremony?
As a non-Catholic, you are invited (and encouraged!) to participate in the sitting, standing, kneeling, singing, and praying portions of the Mass—as much as you are comfortable. Regardless of your spirituality or religious beliefs, there is a joy to be shared as the two become one, through love, in marriage.
When it comes time for communion, there are special considerations for non-Catholics. As the congregation processes to the front of the church during communion, you can choose to receive a blessing--by walking forward with your arms crossed on your chest so each hand rests on the opposite shoulder--or to remain at your seat. Either way, this is a time for reflection, solitude, and recollection.
Can I take pictures during the ceremony?
We ask that you be present and refrain from using cellphones during the church service. You may take photos in the church before the ceremony begins. We have a photographer and videographer who will capture the ceremony for us. However, we would love for you to take photos/videos throughout the rest of the day and share them with us.
Is there parking available?
There is a parking lot at the church, and plenty of street parking. The Brownstone does not have dedicated parking, but there is street parking available for free of charge after 6pm as well as an Indigo parking lot in front of the venue.
